I want
A Passion like Summer
Not the fleeting swiftness of spring
Nor torrential outpourings of monsoon
Neither golden-flecked autumn farewell
And certainly not the freezing winter chill.
A passion like summer thirst
Relentless unsatiety
Bottomless abyss of unfulfilled want
More, still more, yet more
Is not enough
A passion like summer sunshine
Searing mercilessly all through
Scorching up and burning away
Anything not strong enough
To hold its fire.
A passion like summer winds
Ripping crescendos of torment
Embracing, engulfing, enveloping
Left behind are
Visible alterations.
A passion like summer heat
Heard, seen, not merely felt
All other thought
Lost in the heady hum, the pounding madness
Infiltrating the very fiber of the being.
Afterthought: And maybe I need the furnace of a searing passion to forge a lasting love....

Main jaanta hoon ki tu gair hai...magar yun hi...kabhi kabhi teri yaad aati hai
this is a beautifully penned piece!
Hi...
well....passion is a good word for u...until offcourse i can pen another :-)
on re-reading, i think it is very poignant... n true of many of us wanting just such a passion....
tho' i do think u read it soo softly that it was like a curtain fluttering in the wind whereas when u read it here (probably with one's own perceptions coloring it) it hits u in the stomach n u think... oh! what if... i too would like a passion like summer ;-)
take care....
