Is it better to be a meteor
And to surpass even if for an instant
The brightest sun?
To streak across the sky
Unfettered by constraints of Gravity and fall
Not Bothered by any physical laws at all,
To be feted and pampered by Astronomers
Who have started taking
Even the stars for granted,
Remembered even after you burn
Away to nothingness,
Discussed and charted though insignificant
Capable of only causing harm,
Making everyone forsake
Those sources of eternal light:
If only for a second?
It is glamour: momentary glory
The heat of the won battle
The soon forgotten triumph of the race.
The stars are constant
And they remain though surpassed for a while
Even as the meteors and their dreams
Die Away.

"Is it better to be a meteor
And to surpass even if for an instant
The brightest sun?" I loved the start..
Why do i always feel no one can surpass the sun?
