Bit by little bit
In an attempt
To change
The world
Eroded the edges
Let sand irritate
And grow into a pearl
Layer after layer
Masking the inner me
The mirror
Mute spectator
To the change within
Chiseled
Hammered
Polished
Chipped
Grew.

Metamorphosis
Complete
but the reason to change
had also changed.
