Discussion erupted into war

Dredged history
Long-dead hurts
How much anger to store?

Another scandal brought out
Hushed up even at home
Blankly denied
Completely disowned
Outsiders pointed out.
"Why my folks were normal"
Realization dawns- maybe late
Seeing your torn loyalty
Propitiating family
Pleasing siblings
My dysfunctional background abates!
