Leonardo Licorice Bolt

Smooth as silk and dextrous like a tight rope walker. With the loveliest dark green yellow eyes you ever saw. And a liking for bracelets. Stir in 15lb of curiosity and a generally good sense of humor.And now he has adopted us- signalled by his using us as armchairs, objects of more than sniffable interest and deigning to play with us when we make "here kitty, cute kitty" noises- its annoying, but as his humans we do deserve to be played with.  I think it was the large French window that won him over. That and the orange beanbag.

He came, he saw and he conquered. And now he strolls around regally, investigates closets and rooms- the refrigerator top, the rest rooms- and the clothes dryer (
I think he likes the warmth, but he seems to be inspecting if they  meets up to his standards of exacting perfection.)

It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatterWhen I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES."

said TS Eliot. And who am I to argue with a Nobel Prize Winner?

Leonardo was easy. It is regal, in impecable taste and can be shortened to Leo- which is Felix Domesticus-ly related.
Licorice was more difficult. But fromthe mouths of babes flows wisdom. So Anoushka was duly consulted and she suggested this gem. More amazing, as it can be shortened to Licks- which is what LLB does.
The Bolt is equally interesting. Someone has been gallopi ng around the house( the 15 lb notwithstanding) and tearing around the living room- earning this name as a  certain sprinter did his Olympic medal in Beijing.

Ooh! Isn't Leornardo Licorice Bolt a Handsome Hunk!! Do convey that from me :)
A firm feline lover here, and I do so love the way you say that he has adopted you :) He did the right thing for sure :)

And yes, mine too does that... she just whizzes around and sends the younger of the canines into a frenzy, and then there's this real cat and dog game :)

Lovely reading this!
