Friday

The muse as a Structural Equation

I miss the old days

The old innocent days

Life uncomplicated

Unsullied by complex modernity

Life innocent

Of MS Excel

Or other MS monstrosities

Word 2003 and every other year

Every circa AD.

But even MS- initiation

Did not fully sully

The Innocence

As fully

As Statistical Software packages did

All those endins SS( SPSS and NCSS)

( was it a sign I wonder?)

When one went hunting for Rsquares

And significances

(usually with a magnifying glass)

Heck, even that nostalgia seems for really bygone days

Even the Un-LISREL’d days

Were better

I was happy

Not knowing those Beta and Gamma Matrices

Those Phis and Psis Ksis and Etas

Greek would have been simpler

In the classical

Combined with software

And models

Structural and Measurement

I might

Just be another casualty

Of a F_A_T_A_L_E_R_R_O_R.

In a way science and technology is becoming more complex in all fields though the complexity is supposed to be for making life easier. Good poem

Very interesting. Nostalgia done in programming, that's new!

He he! 'Fatalerror' was the icing on the cake!
Btw, have you seen the 'Microsoft 2010' Movie? Your post reminded me of it.
