Vacuum

We each have our special empty space
Built right into us
Something like standard design
A hollow empty space
That sometimes grows to embrace
The entirety of the being
At times shrinks to a point
Minuscle and forgettable
And then there is fear
Of that hollow emptiness
That threatens to take over
The "this is it, nothing else
now or ever"
For people
Achievements
Milestones
Removing meaning
From what should have been meaningful
Fear that makes the flesh crawl
At the thought of teetering
Into loneliness
Ascribed wrongly
To meaninglessness
To empty hollowness
For loneliness
Just means a single survivor
While vacuums eat one up from inside.

Loneliness is ok for me especially if it is only for sometime. It is a time for introspection. But a vacuum growing inside you is scary. Meaningful lines
