Now that you are here

Memories, memories......

Seems I cannot escape you, Unmana!
So here goes, this time on memories and memory making....
Isn't it a Dali-esque thing?

My oldest memory:

Wandering around near the flower beds in Sleepy Hollow, it was such a beautiful day- with warm sunshine and things.... or was it the red adn black clay penguin Babba would keep mending for me- its head constantly came off its neck - and with Araldite(it was new then) he used to mend it for me- only to have the head roll off again....

Ten years ago:
I was experiencing first hand what it is like when life doles out huge disappointments to you. I was in Bhimtal- the school topper in class 10 and 12 reduced to  doing her BSc General in a horrid little Univ in the middle of nowhere- AFTER dropping one year after school. It was  a seriouly horrid time- not helped at all by the fact that we lived in Bhimtal- Babba had died a year or so ago and  it was so lonely, such a bitter bitter place....and no one had any more faith in me, me least of all. That was rock bottom.

My first thought this morning:
I need to get those tables and bootstrapping things done. Can I sleep a little more?

If you built a time capsule, what would it contain:
The Little Prince most definitely. But I think I will have an online time capsule thing- nothing else is permanent besides ideas

This year:
I got my first Academic publication- a chapter AND attended my first Academic Conference- AOM no less( am preening so much). Killed a poinsettia, managed to save and nurtue the Yucca- decided for a dog , then against it- settled for more plants.

14 years from now:
I will be well into my forties. ( Woo hoo, what a trip that will be, each year find sme better than the last). Will have  in my own house and garden and trees , in a place which has all the four seasons and plenty of rain. Will have become Dr. Pandey with several pubs( I hope)- have a dog definitely- plants too-  and will have seen Yellowstone and Paris.

I tag:
